WTO: Keep food trade open, bolster food security

GENEVA, Switzerland—Net food-importing countries such as the Philippines should keep food trade open while strengthening food security measures to cushion supply disruptions, according to the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) top official. Speaking to foreign journalists here, WTO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said these countries should still adopt domestic food security measures to feed their populations. READ:
