Fort Lauderdale-based training center offers short-term classes for those interested in becoming a home health aide. The training is hands-on with certified instructors.

Home health aides are in huge demand as the healthcare industry continues to grow to meet the demands of an aging population. Home health aides are paid as much as fifteen dollars per hour. The courses include CPR training as part of the curriculum. Aides usually work for home health agencies or get private cases with families. The professional aides help with important personal tasks such as dressing, bathing and a variety of hygiene needs."

Home health aides do not have to pass a state examination as CNAs (certified nursing aides). HHAs usually work in homes as caregivers or private jobs. CNAs have a broader range of jobs available to them, such as in private homes, in hospitals, nursing homes, retirement homes and assisted living facilities.
